Michael Fallek is running to be your next Mayor of the City of McAllen quite simply because McAllen needs Michael to be its next Mayor. The pandemic severely hampered our local economy and McAllen’s revenue sources such as property taxes, hotel/motel taxes, sales tax revenue, and bridge crossing revenues were all down significantly from what we had expected them to be in 2020. City budgets will be compromised and operations will be more difficult than ever.
McAllen needs Michael because Michael is an attorney and successful businessman. He has proven experience maximizing budgets, leveraging available resources, and has the creativity and flexibility to get things done in the tough times that lie ahead.
Michael is well respected throughout McAllen: He currently serves McAllen on its Planning and Zoning Commission; He helped develop future leaders of our City through his commitment to the Leadership McAllen program; He was the former Chairman of the McAllen Convention Center Advisory Board; He was a former Board Member of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, and; he is a Past President and Board Member of Temple Emanuel.
Michael is a native of McAllen. He was born and raised here. He is a loving husband, a wonderful father to two amazing teenage children, a proud son, a great friend, and a person we all need to be the next great leader of the City of McAllen.
